Our services include manufacturing and installing standard or bespoke decorative plasterwork, along with full restoration and refurbishment to revive original ornate ceilings and mouldings.

Decorative cast and wrought iron are distinctive features of historic homes. Repair fractures by 'stitching' sections together, minimizing disturbance to brittle original ironwork.

Combatting Corrosion

Prevent iron corrosion with correct maintenance procedures. Thorough cleaning before painting and treatment with recommended primers, undercoats, and topcoats are crucial steps in preserving ironwork.

Bricks And Mortar

Brick deterioration occurs due to various reasons, often exacerbated by weathering from wind-driven rain, particularly on exposed sites.

Maintaining Historic Brickwork

Regular checks and immediate maintenance are vital. Undertake an archaeological survey and seek specialist advice. Repairs should follow traditional methods and matching materials, with new methods and materials used only if tried and tested and sympathetic to the building's character.

Cleaning and Repairing

Cleaning options include water washing, chemical treatments, and controlled abrasive cleaning. If individual bricks are damaged, replace them with new pointing sympathetic to the original mortar. Complete repointing of the wall helps blend new brickwork, avoiding patching of new and old mortars. New bricks should match originals in both color and texture.
